Bonita Rhoads
is an Assistant Professor at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. In 2009 she completed her doctoral studies in Comparative Literature at Yale University with the dissertation Frontiers of Privacy: The Domestic Enterprise of Modern Fiction. The scope of her research involves, among other topics, crime fiction and the Gothic genre in both British and American literature. While working on edition her dissertation as a book manuscript, she has published articles in The Henry James Review, Women's Studies, Poe Studies, Jouvert and Litteraria Pragensia Books. Her article, "Poe's Genre Crossing: From Domesticity to Detection" won the Poe Studies Association's 2009 Gargano Award for the best scholarly essay on Poe published in a given year.

Elke Weissmann
is reader in film and television at Edge Hill University, Ormskirk, UK. She holds a PhD in Television Studies from the University of Glasgow and was a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Reading before joining Edge Hill in 2008. She is vice chair for the Television Studies section of the European Communication Research Association (ECREA) and a member of the board of editors of Critical Studies in Television. Her publications include Transnational Television Drama (Palgrave, 2012) and The Forensic Sciences of CSI: How to Know About Crime (VDM Verlag Dr Müller, 2010).
